PhD Student,
Lucy Hitcham is an interdisciplinary PhD student in the Horizon Centre for Doctoral Training at the University of Nottingham. Lucy Hitcham is currently completing her PhD as part of the University of Nottingham's EPSRC Horizon Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) and is based in the School of Medicine. Her PhD research focuses on the responsible use and development of digital mental health interventions. She is partnering with PeopleDotCom and the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre. She previously completed her BA in Childhood and Youth studies at the University of Sussex and her MSc in Psychology (Conversion) at the UoN. Previously, she has worked as a Research Assistant for the School of Psychology at the University of Nottingham following her MSc. This research focused on smartphone addiction, usage and screen time which has been disseminated through several academic papers and conference presentations. Following her MSc, she also worked as a Clinical Research Assistant for the NHS on a Long Covid clinical trial, STIMULATE-ICP.
