Biography

Dr Zeinab Zandieh is a Senior Process Engineer with over 18 years of combined industrial and academic experience, including 14 years in the oil and gas sector and more recent research in life cycle assessment (LCA), techno-economic analysis (TEA), sustainability evaluations, and process modelling. Her work bridges advanced engineering with sustainability, focusing on the environmental performance of emerging processes. Dr Zeinab Zandieh specializes in the development and assessment of innovative low-carbon technologies, using tools such as Aspen HYSYS, SimaPro, and Ecoinvent to conduct rigorous mass-energy balances and LCA modeling for industrial and research applications.

Currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, she leads and contributes to collaborative projects involving international industrial partners such as Covestro and AstraZeneca. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Aston University.

With a passion for scientific integrity, innovation, and impact, Dr Zeinab Zandieh aims to drive sustainable transformation through data-driven insights, robust modelling, and practical engineering solutions.
